Meet the MRB Team

MRB was formed in March 2007 by directors John McElwee, John Blanchard and Mark Roberts. Having previously worked together since 1996, they have a wealth of complementary experience within a broad spectrum of sectors.

  • John McElwee

    Director

    John is a founding Director of MRB. He is an Electrical Engineer with over 25 years experience working on major projects for multi disciplinary practices in the property and construction industry. He is a licensed BREEAM Assessor across a range of industry sectors including International and Bespoke.

  • Sam Jones

    Sustainability Consultant

    Sam joined MRB in 2011 to help us consolidate our energy and sustainability offer. Sam is a sustainability consultant with 6 years experience gained at an international consultancy. Sam is a licensed BREEAM assessor and is qualified as a BREEAM Accredited Professional.

  • Mark Roberts

    Director

    Mark is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years experience in the building services industry. He is an accredited non domestic energy assessor and in 2006 became one of the first CIBSE low carbon consultants in the UK. Mark is a founding Director of MRB.

  • Mike Slater

    Associate Director

    Mike joined MRB in 2008, he is an experienced Chartered Mechanical Engineer. Mike has particular expertise in the Healthcare sector and leads our healthcare team. He is also a licensed BREEAM Assessor and a BREEAM Accredited Professional.

  • John Blanchard

    Director

    John is a founding director of MRB. He is an electrical engineer with over 20 years experience gained in the electricity infrastructure and building services sectors. John is a qualified Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor.
